Connect More - Direct Less

Do you spend most of your time "Directing" children (telling them what to do), "Correcting" children" (trying to teach them), or "Connecting" with children?

In Ontario's "Think, Feel, Act" (2013) document, the first research brief (first 'chapter' of the document) is all about the importance of making a good, strong, healthy CONNECTION with children because they will learn more and have fewer behaviour problems when they feel a sense of belonging and well-being with the adults that are caring for them.
